    Working in the ecommerce sector, we are currently looking for a Manager, Project Management, to join our team at Orckestra. The Manager, Project Management, is the catalyst behind exceptional delivery to clients. He or she will direct multiple, small to large implementations from inception through completion and will be primarily responsible for managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery exceeds expectations.

    The Manager, Project Management, will manage staff activities, represent clients internally, create and manage budgets and schedules, and maintain team morale and high performance. In this capacity, he/she will also serve as client-facing leaders, overseeing the day-to-day relationships with our clients, providing thoughtful and pragmatic leadership.

    What will your main responsibilities look like?

    In this role, you will be led to:

  • Manage a portfolio of end-to-end projects across our various teams and related clients to include project assessment and projection on costs and delays of delivery, staffing and reporting.
  • Directly contribute to the organization strategic and budget planning based on knowledge of his/her part of the business.
  • Meet with clients and project teams periodically to assess the client satisfaction level, project progress in respect with established delays of delivery and costs, risks and quality.
  • Own the resolution of issues escalation on all aspects, such as: invoicing, customer dissatisfaction, issues and risk assessments impacting delivery and/or costs both internally and externally.
  • Actively manage the team's budget on headcount and variable resources attribution.
  • Lead, develop and manage a group of assigned Project Managers based on the goals of a performance-based organization:Develop a Services organization that is a learning organization.Manage employee utilization and realization.Gain insight into employee performance strengths and gaps that can be coached/mentored/managed.Support both individual growth and personal accountability of employees.Develop and implement best Project Management practices in a specialized governmental service providing context.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers to:Ensure collective success on projects by partnering on project problem resolution and staff utilization across teams.Identify and document team training and mentoring needs and create/provide training, learning/growth opportunities and mentoring.Develop and propose solutions to improve the Services practice in all areas, including service delivery to clients and management of service revenue objectives.
  • Assist teams with continuous process improvements and best practices, ensuring these practices are diligently followed.
  • Provide reporting and input into strategic and tactical program initiatives.
  • What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?

    You are/have:

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of business applications, including standard productivity software, project planning tools, etc.
  • University degree, preferably in the fields of business administration or technology.
  • 7 years experience in Project Management.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years experience at manager level, including people (at least 10) and budget responsibility.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
