  • Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and maintain policy, procedure, and process documents across the stages of an employee's life cycle, as directed.
  • Write or assist in the development of job postings and job descriptions.
  • Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives, and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Maintain and build applicant sources by researching and interacting with community services, universities, employment agencies, recruiters, internet sites and conducting job fairs.
  • Monitor and share relevant career fair opportunities with hiring managers, handle bookings, prep those attending with materials and information, and debrief with attendees.
  • Assist with the development of department reports (track HR, company or external data and produce reports).
  • Market jobs postings on external sites (Craigslist, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Conduct phone screens and reference checks, and participate in interviews as required.
  • Submit requests for compliance and clearances (drug testing, personality profiles).
  • Conduct firstday orientation with new employees and coordinate bimonthly/quarterly group orientation sessions.
  • Troubleshoot bugs on the HR systems and follow through to resolve them.
  • Develop training on various HR software programs and related resources.
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training.
  • Assist with development and implementation of new initiatives (mentoring programs, language exchange).
  • Plan and execute training and information events (lunch and learns).
  • Assist with safety cases (reporting and follow up) and with bullying and harassment investigations.
  • Track and follow through on HRrelated cases.
