We're looking for an IT Technician to join our Production & Technology Team at Musora Media

Position Overview
The IT Technician ensures that all technical services are fully operational and provides technical support for all the staff members.
Key Duties:
- Obtain and sustain a deep understanding of our departmental and business functions
- Staying on top of our IT ticketing/ancillary support, companywide
- Under the guidance of the IT Manager, developing new systems and solutions
- Working alongside other technicians from all departments toward a common goal
- New hire onboarding, peripheral purchasing, provisioning
- Managing office networks (VoIP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, QoS, TCP/IP)
- Managing NAS, VPN, RAID, archiving/purging
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Communicating with manufacturers/vendors
- Providing technical help in film studios for any A/V operation
Key Responsibilities:
- Confidentiality
- Purchasing
- Peripheral and computer purchasing will be a common task for the Technician.
- Communication with their teams
Key Qualifications:
- Knowledge/Education/Experience_
- Diploma/Degree in IT or related field
- At least three years of professional employment that involves IT or related experience
- Keen understanding of macOS, Windows, file servers, computer building/modification, networking, virtualisation, scripting/automation, MDMs, computer security, A/V operations
- Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)

_- Mental Effort
- A typical workday consists of the following:
- 3 hours of routine mental effort for activities such as handling regular requests from staff, gathering information for documentation
- 3 hours of moderate mental effort for activities such as equipment purchasing, checking on systems, handling uncommon requests
- 1 hour of high mental effort for activities such as selfimprovement, training from leading technicians and the IT manager, higher intensity requests
- Physical Effort
- A typical workday consists of the following:
- 5 hours of routine physical activities such as typing and sitting/standing at a desk
- 2 hours of moderate routine physical activities such as cleaning workspaces, building computers/cables, setting up peripherals, testing equipment
Work Conditions:
- Environment
- This role will primarily work in an indoor, openconcept office and studio environment that includes:
- The IT workstation areas include servers, computers, monitors, peripherals, network gear, and cables.
- Studio Environment: The IT Technician will sometimes be required to work in our filming studios, supporting staff on ITrelated issues in our studios. These types of spaces include loud noises, mature language and narrow spaces.
- Sometimes, the Technician must service equipment outside of regular office hours.
- The work requires the Technician to be onsite at our headquarters location.
- Hazards: For all of the below listed, the employee must follow all safety guidelines as determined by WorkSafe BC and the company.
- Lifting is required within safe ranges according to Work Safe BC's Lift/Lower Calculator.
- Occasional work within smaller confined spaces required.
- Ladders are sometimes required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - How the Technician's performance will be measured
- The duration of when a task is assigned and how it proceeded to its completion
- How other staff members perceive their interactions during technical meetings
- How driven they are to learn about the business and enrich our standards
What we offer you:
- $60,000-$65,000 CAD/year, annually, and depending on experience.
- Onsite.
