Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Bookkeeping
- Assist with data entry, bank reconciliations, report generation, and other basic bookkeeping tasks
- Assist in Full Cycle Bookkeeping activities using NetSuite (AR/AP/GL)
- Accounts Receivable: Payment collections and reconciliations
- Accounts Payable: Vendor and Contractor Bills and Payments
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Reconciling timesheets, contractor invoices
- Follow up with the consultants for time entries
- Assist in monthly filings and remittances
- Receive, send, and handle various documentation such as invoices, purchase orders
Administration
- Work with various departments on administrative support tasks for: Marketing, Consulting, HR
- Be the point of contact for external reference checks
- Ensure smooth scheduling of meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements
- Welcome visitors and escort them accordingly
- Promptly and courteously answer telephone calls
- Assist in preparing various documentation and templates such as: employment verifications letters, end of contract letters, templates and reports as required
- Involved in new hire onboarding and employee offboarding tasks for collecting equipment's
- Monitor the office for supplies, equipment, and requirements as they arise and liaise with building management as required
Required Qualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year experience in bookkeeping
- College or University in Accounting is an asset
- Experience with QuickBooks or any bookkeeping software
- Data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
- Excellent Communications (written and oral)
- Experience working in consulting, or a servicebased industry is a strong bonus
- Highly motivated selfstarter who can work in a fastpaced everchanging environment
- Creative, innovative out of the box thinker with superior accuracy and quality of work
- Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Process and deadline oriented with exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Maintains Confidentiality of information
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protections has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- And legally entitled to work according to relevant provincial legislation and regulations (international students on a work/study permit are not eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Program)
