Job Summary

Responsibilities:

While enrolled in the Academy, you will be led through multiple assignments that focus on building your animation skills and preparing them for working in shot production.

This also includes body mechanics, shot work, acting shot work, and lip-sync among others.

Qualifications:

Program Eligibility Criteria:
A degree in computer animation, digital arts, computer science or a related field or equivalent A strong 3D Animation reel that showcases your talent and passion for animation A valid working status in Canada Must be able to work from our Montreal studio Available for full-time work (40hrs/week) as of March 04, 2024 Deadline to submit Applications: February 20, 2024

Reel FX Academy Syllabus:
Week 1 Introduction to our Feature and/or Virtual Production Division pipeline & tools. Week 4 Body mechanics shot work. Plan, block, spline, polish and ani_final a 10-second mechanics/action shot with a character and a prop. Week 6 Acting shot work. Plan, block, spline, polish and ani_final a 10-second acting shot with two characters, with dialogue/lip-synch.

Week Show off your work This is the final stage of the Animation Academy where you will have the opportunity to work on a personal shot and use all the tools and skills you have learned.
