Description
Reflex Manufacturing Ltd. is a major supplier/manufacturer of Reusable Flexible Insulation Systems in western Canada's industrial insulation and Oil and Gas markets.

A significant part of our manufacturing process involves sewing together various materials to form the jacket, liner and assembly components of our insulation covers.

Reflex is looking for a dynamic individual to fulfill a
Production Worker (Prep) vacancy in our manufacturing facility.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare covers according to job specifications and manufacturing instructions (attach correct fasteners, add grommets to draw cord flaps, attach hook and loop to tracer wrap, etc.)
  • Maintain clean working area and equipment at end of day
  • Be willing to be crosstrained and work in other departments as need arise (assist in sewing, stuffing, closing, packing and shipping)
  • Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customers' needs.
  • Comply with all aspects of Reflex's Health and Safety Program at all times
  • Follow the direction of the Supervisor and Lead Hand
  • Attention to detail and pursue quality in the accomplishment of tasks
  • Handeye coordination and be willing to learn to operate a sewing machine
  • Positive attitude and teamwork
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks
  • Sewing experience is a plus

Work Environment

  • Exposure to hazards associated with industry/trade
  • Use of required personal protective equipment
  • Operation of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
  • Physically able to do a combination of standing, sitting, and sewing along with lifting, moving, and manipulating objects up to 18 kilograms/ 40 pounds
  • Shop hours 6 am 3 pm with the possibility of overtime throughout the week or on Saturdays
