How you will make an impact:
If you have a passion for financial accuracy and timeliness, this position is for you.
With a keen understanding of inventory cost components, you will establish relationship with inter-companies and external suppliers, as well as key cross-functional teams, to ensure the accuracy of the cost of sales to support company''s financial results.
You will have an opportunity to build strong interpersonal alliances to understand and mitigate risk.In addition, the position holder will identify and recommend operational improvement opportunities, and support leadership in achieving of business objectives.
What you will do:
- Responsible to supplier cost support analysis, reporting and accounting cycle
- Reconcile and identify supplier cost variances and work with internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues
- Perform assigned Inventory Accounting tasks including supporting supplier setup change, monthly end closing and ad hoc analysis
- Drive continuous improvement on internal controls and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, and standard operating procedure
How you will get here:
Education:
- Required: An undergraduate degree/diploma in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Desired: Pursuing Professional Accounting Designation is an asset
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of finance and accounting experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
- Proficient user of Excel and other MS product
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Challenges the status quo; proactively seeks out improvement opportunities
