Position Description:

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Engagement with Firm wide risk and control groups, including first, second line and third line of defense functions, to support the EDC risk agenda and serve as central point of contact for questions concerning EDC risks, control procedures and business processes.
  • Serve as key stakeholder and sponsor for EDC portfolio of risk remediation activities, including leading program efforts and driving requirements to delivery teams to ensure risks are timely mitigated or communicated for risk acceptance.
  • Manage and participate in EDC risk assessments, internal testing of operational policies and procedures, remediation scoping, reporting and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the appropriateness and completeness of key risk and control metrics within risk tolerance on behalf of the organization.
  • Support audits and reviews performed by internal or external groups from initiation through closure, liaise with global teams to address queries and gather evidence, facilitate closure of resulting remediation actions.
  • Build strong relationships with management teams globally to effectively execute the role of global Risk Officer.
  • Assist in EDC related standards, procedures, and control documentation update to be ensure they meet regulatory expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5 to 7 years directly relevant experience in IT risk management and/or IT audits
  • Previous experience with technology controls programs and risk domains (e.g. NIST, COBIT / ITIL, frameworks) or compliance programs (e.g. ISO27000, SOC1&2 reporting)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate requirements effectively and coordinate team discussion
  • Must be detailoriented, very organized and value the integrity of the data with strong analytical and problemsolving ability, capability switch context quickly and work on
  • Excellent teamwork skills, capable of working effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all management levels
  • Proven ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority

Skills Desired:

  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and organization principles
  • Experience within the financial services or similarly regulated industry
  • Understanding of Operational Risk and associated regulations (e.g., Basel, SOX)
  • General understanding of technology infrastructure (compute, storage, database, network, data centers, security, etc.) and IT service management.
  • Control or Risk management related certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CRISK)
  • Experience in managing committees (e.g. planning, meeting minutes and tracking tasks)
