Description
We are seeking a friendly and experienced LTL Supervisor to join our team in the Transportation industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, ensuring efficient and on-time delivery.

With your strong leadership skills and industry knowledge, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of service and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of LTL drivers, ensuring they are welltrained, motivated, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate daily routes for LTL shipments, optimizing efficiency while meeting customer requirements.
  • Monitor and track LTL shipments to ensure ontime delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure effective communication and coordination of LTL shipments.
  • Manage and maintain inventory within the LTL department, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for LTL drivers, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for LTL operations to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.
  • Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations, including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of LTL operations, including routing, load planning, and customer service.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in using transportation management software and other related tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the transportation industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends, as needed.
