What You'll Do


The Diagnostic Imaging clerk MR/CT is responsible to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of Diagnostic Imaging by providing all office administration functions of the department including booking, registration, reception, data entry, image management and distribution.


What You'll Bring
Successful completion of a Medical Office Support Staff Certificate or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated computer skills
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
  • Demonstrated customer focused/driven attitude and positive customer philosophy
  • Accurate keyboarding skills (40 wpm) Able to use standard office equipment including a computer, laser printer, label printer, fax machine, multifunction photocopier, calculator, and telephone. (Option to add other department specific equipment to the list)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and follow current privacy regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and nonjudgemental support when patient/family treatment decisions may not align with the clerk's personal beliefs
  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, with patients/families, staff and physicians and the community
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgement when making decisions Demonstrated good team work skills and ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive attitude within the team
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a standard way so that all clerks can step in to take over tasks in a seamless manor
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills in a fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Demonstrated ability to work with precision and accuracy with attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated patience and flexibility to support multiple client demand
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting an inclusive, nonjudgmental workplace, welcoming all people of all backgrounds
  • Ability to remain calm during emergency situations and carefully follow code procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and meet deadlines Nonessential:
  • Knowledge of Epic would be an asset
  • Knowledge of PACS would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain good attendance and punctuality
