In support of the Vision, Mission and Values of LutherCare Communities, and with funding from Canada Summer Jobs, we are seeking a Summer Administrative Assistants to join our team.
This position is only available to youth who:
- is between the age of 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations;
- International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
The Applicant:
These positions will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Administrative Assistant:
- Schedule management
- Creating and setting up meetings
- Developing meeting agenda's and taking meeting minutes
- Data entry in MS excel
- Word Processing
- Utilizing a maintenance software program
- Answering telephones
- Responding to resident/client questions
- Preparing reports
- Photocopying/scanning documents
- Maintaining a paper and/or electronic filing system
- Developing a workplan
- Completing all Accounts Receivable (A/R) transactions (cash transactions, deposits, accounting software)
- Providing vacation coverage for the COO Administrative Assistant
- General office duties as assigned
- Research on specific topics as assigned
Enrollment in a post-secondary program is preferred, Must have sufficient practical experience to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position as outlined.
Applicants must have good interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic and must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
