Out Human Resources (HR) team is seeking a full-time, Human Resources Coordinator based in Toronto to assist in supporting the 400 Support and Operations employees in our offices.
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, energetic and team-oriented individual who is looking to join a collaborative team of HR professionals and contribute to human resources programs and initiatives in a professional services environment.
_ This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, working from your home office and McMillan's Toronto office in the heart of downtown Toronto location. On days when working from home, this position will require you to be able to come into McMillan's Toronto office on short notice._
What You'll Do
***You will join a high - performing team and support a variety of HR tasks and projects. These include;
- Work in collaboration with other colleagues on ensuring overall accuracy and integrity of employee data and coordinating various employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, changes and departures.
- Oversee the development, planning and execution of variety of HR related events and initiatives including firm celebrations, staff appreciation events, service recognition programs, etc.
- Administer and process all employee changes including departures, contract extensions, salary and position change correspondence, etc.
- Responsible for conducting and coordinating orientation and onboarding activities for new hires.
- Work with HR Management team on process improvement initiatives to maximize department efficiency.
- Completes timely HR data processing activities in HRIS.
- Assists in administrating national performance management processes.
- Respond to general HR inquiries regarding policies and programs.
- Assist with a variety of HR tasks including drafting employee correspondence, position change letters, memos etc.
- Actively participate and assist in coordination of Joint Health & Safety Committee activities.
- Provide support on various national and local office HR projects, as required.
What You'll Bring
***For this your degree or diploma in Human Resources (or related degree) will be put into action. Your past experience in a client-centric, fast-paced and professional work environment will help with a natural transition. You will demonstrate your advanced administrative skills and aptitude for utilizing technology, such as Office 365 and an established HRIS. You thrive on being proactive, creative and flexible specifically as it applies to process improvement. You consistently receive positive feedback for your superior interpersonal and communication skills. Finally, you live up to your HR background by your ability to deliver sensitive information with diplomacy and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and sound judgement.
