We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Finance departmentResponsibilities
- Manage the daytoday activities of the accounting team, including, accounts payable, monthend close, and reconciliations, while providing guidance, mentorship, and handson support.
- Assist in the preparation of the Company's monthly internal financial statements, including variance analysis, written commentary on significant
fluctuations, and summaries of financial highlights, in coordination with other members of the Finance team and for distribution to senior management.
- Manage annual audit, coordinating with external auditors throughout the audit process
- Implement process improvements including process automation
- Analyze technical accounting topics/transactions, present key findings to internal stakeholders, and document accounting white papers and
- Follow emerging accounting issues and proactively analyze their impact on the Company's results and financial position and lead implementation of new accounting standards
Key Skills
- Bachelor's Degree related to Accounting
- CPA required
- Minimum of 46 years of experience, of which 2 years in public accounting
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Exceptional excel skills and ability to learn new systems (experience with NetSuite and/or systems integration is an asset)
- Excellent attention to detail, writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership qualities that mentor, develop, and guide team members
