About Us:
The Office of the Registrar (OOR) fosters a culture of student service excellence and is a key contributor to the overall student experience at Western, from the initial point of contact with prospects through to graduation and beyond.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Undergraduate University Degree from an accredited, recognized university
- Experience:
- 2 years' experience in an international recruitment, marketing, or communications role, in an academic institution
- Previous experience working with a culturally diverse client base is preferred
- Experience providing support for international students would be an asset
- Experience in a University environment is preferred
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of procedures required of incoming international students
- Ability to act on new information and effectively contribute in a changing environment
- Presentation skills to deliver engaging and informative presentations that clearly explain information to audiences using appropriate communication channels
- Compelling and persuasive communication skills to engage individuals and teams inside and outside the University
- Crosscultural competency with an ability to interact and work effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds with the capacity to consider issues from the perspective of others
- Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
- Detailoriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
- A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Selfdirected, and comfortable exercising discretion and independent judgment in a fast paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
- Ability to plan and manage events of various sizes; familiarity with large scale events an asset
- Proven ability and natural inclination to develop relationships by interacting with people in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule to accommodate the University's events and activities
- Willingness and ability to travel; must have a valid passport in respect of all visa requirements
- Ability to speak an additional language is considered an asset
- Excellent driving skills with an ability to travel extensively throughout Ontario, Canada and internationally
