- Performing landscaping, building cleaning and site servicing of campgrounds, day use areas and facilities
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles and equipment
- Conducting water testing for small water systems
- Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, ATVs, skid steers, etc.
- Assisting with trail maintenance, beach and dock maintenance
- Installing and maintaining signage
- Reporting all maintenance concerns accordingly
- Assists with hazard tree management and invasive plant management programs
- Being familiar with and practicing all pertinent Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures and protocols as well as with the Facility Emergency Response Plan and protocols
- Completing administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and online courses
- Onsite lead for a crew of MSW staff. Accountable for direct site operations, and for leading the task scheduling for other staff
- Leading trail crews where applicable
- Assisting with formal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Assisting with day to day operations of a water treatment plant and distribution system
- Conducting purchasing and orders supply inventory within budget
- Assisting with staff training and staff performance reviews
- Supporting the operation of various utility systems in accordance with standards and regulations to ensure safe provision of drinking water and waste water removal/ treatment
- Assisting with service contract management
- Some high school education or directly related experience based on one year of experience for one year of education
- Some high school education, related training, plus two years of related experience or directly related experience based on one year of experience for one year of education and some supervision experience
- Experience with hand and power tools; good working knowledge in the operation, maintenance and safety of small equipment
- Experience working in custodial, landscaping, or similar positions
- Chainsaw certification
- Exceptional communication skills and comfort level in dealing with difficult customer interactions or complaints
- Experience working within a campground setting

- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent will be required
- Final candidates may be required to provide an acceptable 5yr Commercial Driver's Abstract (will be reimbursed)
- Prior to hire, Recognized Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level "C"/AED Certificate will be needed for MSW3 Crew Lead position
- Recognized Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level "C"/AED Certificate is an asset for MSW1 Maintenance Worker positions
- Alberta Parks Uniform Policy; all personal protective equipment is provided. Adherence Certified Safety footwear is not provided, but candidates will be reimbursed for a portion of the cost.
- These positions will require outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions
- Training sessions at the beginning of employment are mandatory (late April/early May)
- Staff housing may be available in Dillberry Lake Provincial Park

We are looking for highly motivated, well-organized, responsible Maintenance Workers for the 2024 summer season. Individuals will be part of a team accountable for providing regular maintenance and operational duties that support the day-to-day operation of campgrounds, day use areas, facilities and trail systems.

As a Park Maintenance Service Worker (MSW1), duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
As the Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3), primary duties include assisting MSW1 Workers with the duties mentioned above in addition to administrative and supervisory tasks such as:
All positions will require you to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. You have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and will be paid for number of hours worked. You must have good physical stamina to be able to perform manual duties outdoors and in any time of weather conditions, rain or shine.
