Job Summary:


Position Responsibilities:


  • Provide interpretation and adherence to two collective agreements.
  • Participation in the collective bargaining process.
  • Participating in various labour committees.
  • Manage layoff and recall processes.
  • Support the development of Labour Relations strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Lead labour grievances as needed through investigations.
  • Oversee job separations, terminations and settlements.
  • Work with operations and management to ensure culture and employee satisfaction is being met.
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all matters.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree & HR Certification (preferred).
  • 5+ years Labour Relations experience with demonstrated track record of grievance resolution and collective bargaining.
  • Proven experience prioritizing and managing multiple assignments concurrently, performing well under pressure, and meeting deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Travel required (25%) between Mississauga and North Bay manufacturing plants.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Aptitude for solving problems, critical thinking and selfinitiative.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate within organizational matrix.
  • Comfortable with MS Office tools.
