    JOB OVERVIEW

    Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Programs, you will be responsible for a broad range of activities involving project management and implementation of strategic plans and programs relating to the NCC's multi-use pathway network, along with the analysis of relevant data from these plans and programs. As part of these responsibilities, you will produce the documents needed to inform and advise various internal stakeholders, in addition to assisting the groups that provide services to external stakeholders.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION

    A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Public or Business Administration, Project or Asset Management, or in related field to the position.

    EXPERIENCE

    Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in each of the following criteria:


    • Managing and overseeing project deliverables on various timelines (short, medium and long-term);


    • Drafting of information documents, reports, and studies on intersectoral issues.

    KNOWLEDGE


    • Of the steps to follow, the work methods and the program planning, development and implementation procedures;


    • Of the general active transportation practices and principles;


    • Of the linear park and multi-use trail system operations and life cycle management.

    ABILITIES


    • Possess a high attention to detail;


    • To suggest innovative initiatives for programs, content and themes;


    • To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders from the private and public sectors;


    • To research, analyze and resolve complex issues.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


    • Possess or eligible to obtain Reliability security clearance;


    • Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB;


    • Possess valid driver's licence;


    • Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario;


    • The National Capital Commission offers a hybrid and flexible work environment, all employees are currently asked to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
