Description

Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, AB facility and offers benefits from Day1.

What you'll do:


Working under the general direction of the Operational Excellence Manager, this position will assist in the improvement of manufacturing/business processes and the implementation of Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) tools and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).


In this function you will:


  • Work with business units to implement Eaton Lean Six Sigma in conjunction with Eaton's Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF)
  • Promote, initiate, and support the implementation or improved business and manufacturing processes
  • Research and offer solutions for opportunities identified either by this position or any employee on site
  • Facilitate improvement events with multifunctional groups and provide justintime training of ELSS tools and methodologies
  • Promote continuous improvement and lean culture within the business
  • Meet ongoing ELSS and CIF requirements

Qualifications:


Required Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary degree in relevant technical discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years' of prior experience working continuous improvement techniques and processes, e.g., Lean Manufacturing
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in assembly and fabrication processes considered an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an asset
