- Work with all members of the underground crew to determine work planning and flow
- Provide supervision in the absence of the Foreman
- Assist in safety and quality management
- Complete site documentation as required
- Participate in inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity
- 2+ years of Lead Hand experience
- Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset
- Ability to operate equipment is an asset
- Ability to read blueprints and grade sheets
- Safety conscious
- Strong understanding of pipe installation process and flow logistics
- Competent in the use of various rigging techniques and mechanisms
- Organized and ability to multi-task
- Able to work independently and follow instruction from the foreman
- Able to support other positions as needed
- Strong communication skills – provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail
- Ability to mentor workers for advancement
- Consistent, reliable and always show up for work fit for duty
