Alberta Health Services (AHS) is currently seeking someone like you who can provide direction, team leadership, and organization to the interdisciplinary teams of the Acute Care, Emergency, and Outpatient departments as the new Care Manager in the tidy northern Alberta town of Fairview.

This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:


As the Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership and strategic direction to an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in the Acute Care, Emergency, and Outpatient departments in the delivery of safe and high-quality patient and family-centered care services.

You will be making key decisions, providing clinical guidance and support as well as coordinating staffing, and contributing to the achievement of goals of the department, AHS vision, mission, and business plan.

Moreover, you will be responsible for facilitating improvement initiatives, fostering and maintaining dynamic and engaging teamwork and collaborative relationship with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Active registration with applicable Alberta Regulated Health Profession.

Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in clinical practice required and within the last three (3) in a leadership role.

Previous experience in acute and/or emergency required. Equivalences of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred; however, skills and experience relevant to nursing practice will be considered. Previous management experience preferred.
