- Maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders like mortgage insurers, appraisers, and solicitors
- Review and make credit decisions on mortgage applications within set limits
- Collaborate with Mortgage Insurers for credit decisions as necessary
- Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to mitigate risks
- Issue mortgage commitments in line with service level agreements
- Prioritize applications based on risk assessments while ensuring excellent service
- Stay updated on industry trends and market competition
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships

- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Completion of Mortgage Agent Course and/or FICOM License is a bonus
- Proficiency in PC software within a Windows environment

The Opportunity:
The Third Party Residential Underwriting Division of First National Financial offers underwriting services to the Canadian Mortgage Broker channel. As a Residential Mortgage Underwriter, you will analyze credit applications, ensure compliance with policies, and focus on delivering exceptional service.
