The Financial department of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre has an opening for Summer Student(s), commencing May 2024 and ending August 2024.

The Student(s) will play a key role in providing support to various Finance functions, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Case Costing/MIS, General Accounting, and Payroll.

Summary of Duties:

Working with various Managers in the Finance department, this position will provide support to the Finance departments.

The activities will include but are not limited to the following:

Payroll process documentation and analytics, as well as SQL cleanup
Data querying and analysis for case costing
Funding process cleanup and documentation
Various financial and data analyses
Other ad hoc as required

Qualification & Skills:

Currently enrolled in a University or College program, preferably specializing in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Ability to take initiative and be proactive in owning assigned tasks
Multitasker with a solid sense of prioritization
Experience using Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
