This upscale hotel and conference center, is seeking a motivated professional for theirPart-Time
Security Officer position.
Typical day to day responsibilities for the Security Officer are:
- Investigating criminal acts by employees or guests
- Enforces emergency plan for flood, robbery and fire
- Coordinates special events which might require extra security measures
- Ensures regular safety and emergency inspections occur within the hotel
- Responds to guest and employee incidents and provides medical assistance as needed
Must be available days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Shifts are:

7am-3pm:

3pm-11pm:
-
11pm-7am
In addition, the hotel will be looking at someone who:
- has a Post-secondary Education in Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement
- Police and/or security background check must be provided
- Must be well versed and knowledgeable of the Criminal Code, Federal and Provincial statues
- Has a professional presentation, excellent communication skills and the ability to provide
- High energy with exceptional organization skills
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a busy environment
- Computer literacy required including knowledge of Word, Excel and radio communication skills
- Must be flexible to accommodate irregular or extended hours
