Overview:
Complete Biodiversity Indicator and Reporting System (BIRS) Assessments for all aggregate sites in Eastern Ontario and Quebec.

Responsibilities:

Site Visits

Coordinate site visits
Travel to sites and complete BIRS Checklists for applicable areas of the site in coordination with site representative

Review

Review BIRS Checklists prepare Assessment Reports
Track progress on execution of BIRS Assessments

Report

Finalize BIRS Assessments and post documents to Google Drive.

Projects

Special projects will be defined to enable achievement of environmental goals

Projects include:

Biodiversity Indicator and Reporting System (BIRS) Assessments

Relationship with Others

Incumbent will communicate with the Environment & Public Affairs team; Cement, Aggregate Operations Teams and will work with the Manager, Environment & Public Affairs and Director, Environment & Public Affairs.

Specific Accountabilities:

Site visits to complete BIRS Checklists/Assessments.

Dimensions:

Reports to Senior Manager, Environment & Public Affairs.

Qualifications:

Postsecondary degree in Environmental Studies or the equivalent of education and experience.
Technical knowledge required to complete BIRS Checklists/Assessments.
Must be French/English bilingual.
Adequate fitness to complete site visits (walking over uneven terrain).
Must have a valid Drivers License and a vehicle.
