Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Manager, Technical Services this position is responsible for the oversight of and compliance with the maintenance reliability program, assessing the airworthiness of aircraft, document control, and evaluating and modifying maintenance systems and processes.
The coordinator is also responsible for developing all necessary tasks and functions to ensure that the technical performance of the fleet is monitored and analyzed.
Reliability- Carry out OTP delay analysis and corrective action analysis.
- Complete analysis of vendor engine overhauls and repair reports.
- Oversee engine condition trend monitoring and analysis.
- Review and coordinate analysis of heavy check findings.
- Administer service difficulty reports.
- Responsible for submission and monitoring of the civil aviation daily occurrence reporting system (CADORS), the analysis of recurring defects, and development and implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Maintain quality control technical records.
- Oversee and evaluate service bulletins, service letters, and air worthiness directives.
- Conduct major modification documentation reviews.
- Responsible for maintaining the aircraft modification database.
- Recommend upgrades/equipment changes, process/procedure changes, and aircraft schedule changes based on data collection and analysis.
- Provide design solutions to meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Responsible for revisions and processing of all maintenance documents.
- Maintain up to date maintenance control and maintenance policy manuals, maintenance forms, and other related documents.
- Review and administer weight & balance and equipment lists.
- Review and administer aircraft maintenance schedule.
- Assess, develop, and/or modify maintenance systems and procedures, etc., based on inputs and data analysis from reliability program, manufacturers, overhaul/repair vendors, maintenance costs incurred, and other factors as identified.
- Assist Maintenance stores and logistics personnel with maintaining appropriate stores levels and rotable components.
- Provide regular communications with maintenance personnel.
- Disseminate and communicate lessons learned, safety issues, best practices, changes in procedures, policy, and new developments.
- Act as a designated safety management system (SMS) investigator.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Foster a teambased environment through collaborative working relationships.
- Ensure optimal communication with all employees and internal partners.
- Analyze issues and establish operational priorities; identify gaps and/or changes required to standard operating procedures and internal policies and procedures and communicate to applicable personnel.
- Maintain current knowledge of all Transport Canada rules, regulations and policies.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety programs to promote an incident and injury free culture.
Qualifications:
The knowledge and skills required for this position include a post-secondary diploma in Aircraft Maintenance. combined with a minimum of three years' experience in aviation with an emphasis on maintenance and compliance. A current aircraft maintenance engineer license is an asset.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
- Demonstrated experience working in an aircraft maintenance organization (AMO) or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and Transport Canada and/or aviationrelated technical manuals and documents.
- Excellent technical writing skills and skilled in the development and review of operational and regulatory manuals.
- Significant experience working in a quality assurance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze, develop, and implement solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication, research, and presentation skills.
- Sound problem solving, decisionmaking, analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and tasks and execute effectively and in a timely manner.
- Strong leadership skills and a handson, selfmotivated, and demonstrated positive, cando attitude.
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively with others.
- Effective trainer with ability to adjust training techniques and approaches to accommodate a variety of learning styles.
