JOB OPPORTUNITY - Program Manager (CIFT, ISSP & Social Work) - FULL-TIME PERMANENT

Position Summary


Reporting to the Executive Director Clinical & Service Excellence, the Program Manager (CIFT, ISSP & Social Work) will provide clinical and administrative oversight of the CIFT and ISSP programs, as well as social workers assigned to the Crisis Service Inpatient Program.


Working as part of the inter-professional Clinical and Community Programs Team, this position will support the operationalization of Youthdale's strategic objectives, ensuring that their assigned programs and services meet legislative standards, best practice and professional standards.


Programs/services reporting to the Manager:

  • Centre for Individual and Family Therapy (CIFT) providing individual and family therapy and case management services to residential and day treatment services.
  • Intensive Support and Supervision Program (ISSP), a comprehensive mental health care and case management service for youth who qualify under the YCJA s.42(2)(i) for a community sentencing option as an alternative to custody.
  • Social Workers assigned to inpatient service (Acute Support, Transitional Psychiatric, and Transitional Age).

Responsibilities:


_ Clinical_

  • Ensure and be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of assigned programs and services and the achievement of clinical and targeted program outcomes
  • Provide team leadership, clinical oversight and regular individual and group supervision of social work, CIFT and ISSP therapists to meet identified objectives
  • Clinical supervision is focused on selfreflection, offering staff an opportunity to process the impact of situations, the development of coping strategies, and professional development
  • Assign CIFT and ISSP cases, ensuring workload balance, etc.
  • Attend individual sessions, rounds, clinical conferences, Plan of Cares, and/or other internal/external planning meetings as required/ requested
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and the Clinical and Community Program Team regarding the planning and development of services and programs
  • Support staff who supervise practicum students to adequately meet their educational/experiential goals
  • Provide oncall coverage after hours and on weekends as per Youthdale procedures
  • Assume time limited case level responsibility when coverage is otherwise unavailable
  • Ensuring Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as they relate to the strategic plan are met this includes Length of stay metrics, clinical outcome metrics, and timely access to evidenced based care
  • Implementing Quality Improvement Initiatives within the different programs to enhance client care

_Administrative_

  • Facilitate regular administrative team meetings to meet identified objectives
  • Monitor workload, caseloads and QI indicators ensuring service targets are met and to support program decision making
  • Lead staff hiring, annual performance evaluations and tracking of required certifications
  • Oversee orientation of new hires as per the policies and procedures of Youthdale
  • Ensure compliance and completion of required documentation (clinical records, documentation in CYSIS, CAFAS etc.).
  • Review and approve schedules and vacation requests, ensuring adequate coverage
  • Review and approve mileage claims and program costs.
  • Ensure that personnel files are completed as required for review on an ongoing basis.
  • Complete reports per MCCSS/CYFSA requirements

  • The above responsibilities are reflective of current requirements at the time of recruitment, and could change before and after hiring to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • A Masters of Social Work degree or related field.
  • Registration with relevant professional regulatory body.
  • 57 years of clinical experience working with children, youth and/or their families.
  • 25 years of experience providing direct clinical supervision. This may include experience supervising practicum students.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with evidenced based practice related to individual and family therapies. These may include but are not limited to Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, McMaster Model o
