The Service Technician Role
Our clients put their trust in Motion to ensure that their mobility devices are safe and functioning properly.

Our service technicians serve our clients by providing on-site and in-home repair and set-up for mobility devices, including walkers, scooters, wheelchairs, and stair lifts.

_ Diagnose and repair.__ _You will deliver, install and/or repair mobility equipment across
Kingston and the surrounding area.

This may include but is not limited to:

  • Assessing and troubleshooting issues clients may be having with their device
  • Repairing manual and power mobility devices in client's homes and/or instore
  • Repairing electrical systems within the mobility device
  • Program and setup basic power and mobility equipment
  • Install and repair accessibility products and solutions in clients' homes

Examples include:
home safety products or stairlifts.

You will ensure that their needs are met and that we meet our objective to make life accessible.

_ Be flexible and mobile. _You will spend your days traveling to different sites and client's homes within the region.


Who you are & what you bring:
This is an excellent position for someone with a mechanical background who is looking to do meaningful work.

You'll be a good fit if you have:

  • Experience working with your hands building or fixing machinery of any sort. Great previous experience would be working as a mechanic, appliance repairs, or other technical repairs
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • A love for working with your hands and fixing things
  • Strong communication skills, customer service experience, and empathy for other people
  • An aptitude for technology and learning new systems
  • Knowledge of home medical equipment and assistive devices an asset
  • A willingness to learn and grow, and a passion for helping other people

_ Additional must have requirements._

  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • A valid G class driver's license and clean driving record
  • A clean criminal background check
  • Availability to work until 7PM and Saturdays.
