We are growing our development peer review team which provides development peer review services to local municipalities.

In our role as peer review consultants, we review subdivision and site plan designs on behalf of municipalities and monitor construction activities to ensure developers are constructing municipal infrastructure in accordance with municipal criteria and sound engineering practices.


We are seeking a Field Services Representative to monitor the construction and administration of new subdivisions/site plans on behalf of our municipal clients.


This position will involve spending time in the field to review construction servicing and time in the office to carry out administrative duties.


The position will include a variety of duties, such as:

  • Monitoring the on-site progress of the construction of various developments and preparation of status reports
  • Carrying out inspections related to the commencement of maintenance and assumption of services
  • Attending construction site meetings
  • Liaising with municipal staff, developers, developer's engineering consultants, contractors and residents
  • Providing written correspondence with municipal staff, developers and consultants
  • Tracking the status of inspections carried out on various sites
  • Tracking the status of all developments including which are assumed and what work is required to enable each development to be assumed
  • Reviewing and responding to homeowner inquiries
  • Reviewing and processing requests for commencement of maintenance, assumption and security reductions for developments
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in construction inspection with an emphasis on subdivision construction (sewer, watermain, roads and lot grading) and associated testing protocols
  • Understanding of Municipal Subdivision and Site Plan/Development Agreements and municipal processes
  • Diploma/certificate in Civil Technology or related program
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications
  • Understanding of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to independently manage time, organize work and complete multiple tasks with mínimal supervision
  • A valid driver's license and regular access to a vehicle are mandatory to commute to project locations

Skills in the following areas would be an asset:

  • Knowledge of the construction development process in King Township, Town of Newmarket, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and other municipalities in York Region.
