The Driver Test Scheduler II is responsible for scheduling routine and more complex driver examinations.

This position coordinates the scheduling of provincial driver examinations through the Driver Exam Inquiry Line and ensures there is adequate coverage around the province.

The Driver Test Scheduler II monitors examination activity and arranges for part-time examiners to be called in when necessary. The role handles inquiries and complaints pertaining to driver examination procedures and scheduling.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Answers inquiries, books appointments, and handles complaints relating to driver examination procedures and scheduling on the CCX program.
  • Creates and maintains staff schedule for branch Examiners and scheduling staff.
  • Sets up interviews, appointments, and rescheduled tests, and informs Driver and District Examiners.
  • Rearranges Driver and District Examiner schedules in the event of vacation, illness, or emergency.
  • Schedules testing by special request of the Medical Review Unit.
  • Corrects customer files.
  • Monitors the Driver Exam Inquiry Line for driver examinations throughout the province.
  • Assigns and reviews the work of scheduling staff involved in the booking of driver examinations.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Proficient knowledge of driver licence classifications.- Proficient knowledge of the Auto Fund driver programs.- Proficient skill in telephone etiquette (i.e., answering phones, handling the call, listening, professionalism and terminology).- Proficient skill in completing forms accurately and proofreading documents for accuracy.- Proficient skill in performing arithmetic calculations.- Fundamental knowledge of the functions of the Auto Fund and Auto Fund vehicle programs.


EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS- One-year certificate from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business, or defined equivalency.

EXPERIENCE years' experience in a call centre, administrative, or driver examination-related role.
