Some of what you will do:


The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for driving profitable wireless sales and technology services growth with a consistent and best in class experience within the wireless departments within their assigned stores.

They will contribute to the creation, communication, and achievement of company strategic initiatives in products and services, both for consumer and business customers.

They will establish goals, expectations, and plans in collaboration with their RVP, District Managers and Store leadership teams and negotiate successful implementation and traction of key sales drivers.

They will drive & support communication with all stores in the region to keep teams informed of new marketing tactics, sales strategies and share results/best practices.

They will be responsible for the creation, execution and communication of business improvement action plans that drive ease of doing business and result in exceptional customer experiences, with a focus on the Connect Share partner model and the Standard operating processes.


Specifically, you will:


  • Ensures that corporate expectations and goals for sales and profit levels are achieved by directing and consulting in the management and execution of wireless/wireline and prepaid departments within assigned stores.
  • Maximizes territory's sales opportunities by implementing and reinforcing the company sales programs.
  • Initiates both scheduled and informal dialogue with all relevant Field leadership and home office stakeholders to keep them informed and current regarding performance and collaborate on the performance management required to achieve results.
  • Initiates frequent meetings with store team members to review sales and sales strategies.
  • Promotes Sales Best Practice consistency and accountability throughout their territory.
  • Monitors individual markets and competitive activity within those markets directly as well as through the store team members, and provides feedback Tech services for assigned region
  • Partner with RVP/district manager(s) and store leadership to build and develop store associate knowledge of Wireless, Wireline, warranty, and TSS to generate referral streams.
  • Ensures transfer of business leads over a certain threshold through internal process.
  • Supports stores in the seamless journey of Business customers who choose to activate in store. Acts as a liaison between the store wireless teams and other Staples channels.
  • Identifies and provides feedback on all factors impacting the business, including but not limited to, economic, market, cultural, and legal conditions.
  • Required to support sales, which could include influencing and negotiating with companies, agencies, associations, etc. for their business.
  • Champions responsiveness in resolving roadblocks to optimal performance at both office and field level.
  • Responsible for providing input into sales forecasting.
  • Plans events to drive sales, considers the store's community, business cycles, and Staples' traffic patterns.
  • Identifies cultural differences and nuances and recommends adjustments regarding marketing, advertising, packaging, new product, and presentation issues.
  • Connects with Tech Services Program leadership on a regular schedule on national strategies and tactics for implementation.
  • Extensive travel throughout the territory.

Some of what you need:


  • Completion of postsecondary education in business or related discipline is preferred.
  • 5+ years of Wireless Sales, Management experience or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of multiunit retail and sales experience is an asset.
  • Provincial drivers' license requirements as outlined in applicable provincial legislation
  • Demonstrates elevated leadership ability and business acumen.
  • Ability to make decisions with integrity that supports company guidelines and makes good business sense.
  • Ability to resolve customer concerns in a diplomatic manner.
