Wyndham Garden is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory.

The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and will be operated by Winnipeg based Sparrow Hotels.

The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness centre, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.

We are seeking a line cook to be responsible for the daily preparation of food items, and/or work in other stations of the kitchen.


  • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follows recipes, portion control. and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walkin coolers, and all storage areas
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Kitchen Manager, at any time
  • This position will spend 100% of the time standing

Must have flexible (open) schedule and able to work weekends and holidays is a must

  • Must have at minimum 2 years of line cook experience with ability to work various workstations as needed
  • The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety and sanitation
  • Must be able to work mornings and closing shifts
  • Ability to take direction
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be selfmotivated and organized
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
  • Assist to help the team any related duties
