Application Specialist - North York, Canada - Wireless DNA Inc.
Description
Description/Purpose:
Some after-hours and weekend work are required depending on scheduled maintenances and upgrades. Some travel may also be required depending on circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Management:_
- Ensure optimal performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Administrate user credentials, dynamic groups, and membership rules in Azure AD.
- Providing performance metrics and performing root cause analysis.
- Creating accurate documentation of systems and processes.
- Collaborate crossdepartment to ensure the patching processes for endpoints, mobile devices, POS machines, VM's are consistently applied.
- Create, review, and modify group policies for increased efficiencies and streamline changes.
- Business Process Integration:_
- Team Training and Maintenance_
- Work closely with the team to create technical documents and maintain our knowledge base system.
- Crosstrain in the department to understand other roles, your role, and provide feedback.
- Other_
- Preparing requirements, design and program specifications and time schedules for assigned projects as per the IT Manager.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, drivers, and patching processes.
- Familiarity with VM, MDM tools (SCCM/Intune), and Cloud hosting is essential.
- Excellent level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
- Able to translate technical concepts into nontechnical terms.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, firewall policies, and proactive threat management.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate crossfunctional teams.
- Willingness to participate in crossdepartmental training to share knowledge and train IT team members on operationsspecific aspects.
- Experience in coordinating and overseeing IT projects, ensuring adherence to project objectives and timelines is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- North York, ON M2N 0G3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
