Scope of the Position:

The Program Manager is a senior management position, responsible for the leadership and management of agency programs. The Program Manager works closely with the Executive Director to support the day to day operations of the organization. This leadership will promote a person-centered approach to service delivery. The programs under the scope of this position may vary depending on funding and need.


Key Responsibility:
Supervision


  • Provide regular, direct supervision to the Supervisors under their program portfolio.
  • Consult with staff on employee related issues and ensure that staff follow Alberta Labour Standards and adhere to CMHA policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that all staff in the program areas receive regular supervision, have a completed performance review after probation and annually thereafter.
  • Assist the Supervisors to resolve employee conflict.
  • Provide guidance and training to the Supervisors to enable them to best support the larger staff team.

Key Responsibility:
Human Resources


  • Support supervisors in the hiring process to ensure staff teams are complete.
  • Ensure all new hires receive comprehensive onboarding and orientation.
  • Monitor needs for training recertification, and updated HR file requirements (ie. Criminal record checks)

Key Responsibility:
Program Management


  • Ensure that all work sites focus on personcentered service delivery and promote a culture that is positive, flexible, creative, and respectful.
  • Will have regular contact at program sites.
  • Ensure that training is provided on a regular basis around case management and the current model being used.
  • Develop annual work plans for each program and will regularly review these plans with Supervisors.
  • Share in "on call" responsibilities.
  • In collaboration with the Executive Director, complete program reviews every two years to ensure programs are effective and obtaining desired outcomes.
  • Support supervisors to ensure regular delivery of program staff meetings.

Key Responsibility:
Funding Submissions, Data Base and Reporting


  • Ensure that all programs keep regular monthly statistics, use the required database, and that staff are trained in all sties to complete the required reports.
  • Work with the database administrator and Executive Director to ensure regular reports are completed for funders according to expectations.
  • Complete all quarterly and annual reports with the assistance of Supervisors and will submit to the Executive Director for approval prior to submission.

Financial Management


  • Review monthly financial statements and ensure that the programs are following the allocated budgets.

Key Responsibility:
Partnership and Community Liaison


  • Attend community meetings as needed, to support the programs in their portfolio.
  • Promote CMHA initiatives at every opportunity with community partners, Municipal and Provincial departments, donors, sponsors, funders, and the larger community members as a whole.

Qualifications
The Program Manager will have a completed degree or diploma in the human services field. Three years prior management and supervisory experience required.

Salary:
$64,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
