The Rotman Commerce program is offered jointly by the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Rotman Commerce serves approximately 3,200 in-program undergraduate business students as well as over 17,000 graduates of the Bachelor of Commerce program.

As the Marketing & Communications Officer, you will play a key role in the creation and distribution of captivating content that engages and inspires a broad range of constituents: prospective and current students, alumni, donors, and employers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing tasks related to the production, branding and dissemination of communications/marketing materials
- Plans, develops, implements and measures social media strategies
- Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with targeted social media communities
- Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
- Researching and recommending story ideas that advance priorities and initiatives
- Maintaining quality of audience lists
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or publishing; or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum four (4) years of fulltime recent and related experience in communications, design and production of publications and newsletters, promotional material, social media, website design and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of social and multimedia strategies, tools, channels, trends, and capabilities
- Experience using digital and social media channels and listening and measurement tools in a professional setting is essential
- Required experience in video production and photography including storyboarding, planning and coordination, shooting, lighting, production and post production
- Required experience in graphic design
- Experience writing and editing submitted articles, design layout, production anddistribution in print and digital
- Experience in delivery of highquality communications content in a range of formats
- Knowledge of AODA standards; technical fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign and Dreamweaver), Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM); experience using WordPress is required; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; use of PowerPoint and other presentation software to create dynamic presentations
- Demonstrated experience coordinating projects and proven ability to multitask several communications projects simultaneously
- Superior verbal and written English communication skills with a thorough knowledge of best practices for writing content for the web and social media
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to use video production equipment and software to efficiently produce quality promotional and educational videos for posting to social media channels
- A selfstarter possessing the ability to multitask and work both independently and in teams in a consultative environment
- Possess technological aptitude and curiosity
- Must have a passion for online communications and a deep interest in and understanding of social media trends and technologies
Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience conceptualizing and executing creative concepts in either a student facing environment or one that markets to postsecondary student and related audience demographics
- Working knowledge of the University of Toronto or postsecondary education preferred
