Description

The Pharmacy Messenger's duties include a variety of tasks, the main areas being the retrieving of physician orders, the delivery of filled medication orders, and storekeeping duties.

Qualifications:

Secondary School Diploma required. Pursuing postsecondary education an asset.
Experience with health care and hospital pharmacy settings an asset; experience in a similar role an asset.
Previous experience in customer service, with excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and telephone skills. Ability to interact with people from all disciplines with all levels of experience.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to take initiative and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and respond to multiple demands in short span of time. Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision
Basic computer skills (eg. Groupwise, PC, databases).
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Able to perform the FULL range of duties as required in this position, including some lifting of weight (up to 40 lbs.)
Satisfactory attendance record.
