The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance operations with an emphasis on quality assurance testing.

The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and providing solutions for complex business problems in the P&C Insurance domain.

This includes interpreting customer needs, assessing requirements, identifying solutions to non-standard requests, and ensuring the quality of those solutions through meticulous testing.


What will you do?

Participate in collaboration sessions with project sponsors and stakeholders to determine project scope and requirements.**- Elicit, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders in order to communicate business direction and development direction.

  • Engage project sponsors and stakeholders through oneonone interviews or online surveys to gather their perspectives, expectations, and requirements for the project. This approach allows for indepth conversations and personalized feedback.
  • Schedule regular review meetings with project sponsors and stakeholders to present and discuss the project scope and requirements. Encourage feedback, address concerns, and incorporate suggestions to ensure alignment and consensus among all parties involved.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among different teams or departments involved in the project. Establish channels for sharing information, updates, and feedback, ensuring that all stakeholders have a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and requirements.
  • Capture and document the outcomes, decisions, and agreements made during collaboration sessions. Share the documented information with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and a reference point for future discussions and decisionmaking.

Evaluate business and technical processes to share uncovered areas of improvement and to develop and implement new solutions.**- Document the process improvements, including the changes made, their rationale, and the resulting benefits. Share this documentation with stakeholders and relevant teams to promote transparency, facilitate knowledge transfer, and encourage continuous improvement.


Deign, document, and execute test cases to ensure code quality.**- Review project requirements and specifications to gain a clear understanding of the expected functionality and behavior of the code. This analysis helps in identifying the scope of testing and the specific areas that need to be covered by test cases.

  • Develop a comprehensive test plan that outlines the testing approach, objectives, test coverage, and resources required. This plan serves as a roadmap for designing and executing test cases effectively.
  • Create detailed test cases that cover various scenarios, inputs, and expected outputs. Test cases should be designed to validate the code against functional requirements, edge cases, error handling, and any specific business rules. Use techniques like boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and error guessing to ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Document and report any defects or issues identified during test execution. Include detailed information such as steps to reproduce the issue, the expected behavior, and any supporting logs or screenshots. This helps the development team in understanding and addressing the identified code quality issues.

Build solid relationships with business partners that establish a level of trusted software solution provider.**- For the interactions implemented in the system, ensure that the business and system process artifacts are maintained, and appropriate detailing is provided so that the artifacts can support the teams in the future.

  • Maintain open and regular communication with your business partners. Keep them updated on project progress, milestones, and any potential challenges. Proactively share relevant information, such as industry trends, technological advancements, or potential opportunities that could benefit their business. Effective communication builds trust and demonstrates your commitment to their success.
