The Opportunity


Working directly with the Controller, the Financial Analyst maintains, interprets and communicates costing and financial information for the company by insuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, providing cost analysis, and organizing data into decision useful reporting to internal stakeholders.


The Team
The role will report directly to the Controller.


Responsibilities

  • Monthly reporting & analysis of production costs and expense variances
  • Responsible for daily, monthly, and annual cost rolls updates
  • Maintain costing reports for all plants and ensuring product is fully costed
  • Maintain and communicate inventory (and provision) reports
  • Record and maintain all bill and hold reporting schedules
  • Work with production facilities to maintain accurate part setup and bill of materials
  • Weekly analysis and review of WIP, GR/IR and Goods in Transit transactions
  • General ledger account reconciliations
  • Assist with cycle counts and the annual inventory count
  • Report and maintain financial data for corporate reporting
  • Post various recurring and adjusting journal entries
  • Assisting with monthend and yearend close, and ad hoc reporting
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Enrollment in the CPA program is preferred.
  • Background in manufacturing is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting concepts and analysis.
  • Problem solver who can navigate within a fastpaced environment.
  • Good communication and change management skills.
  • Able to contribute to business process improvements and grow within the company.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • SAP knowledge is an asset.
