Position Description:


Research Assistant Position - Grandi Lab
Dr. Grandi's research focuses on the influence of preconception and perinatal exposures, including but not limited to, lifestyle factors and medications used for chronic conditions, on the short
- and long-term cardiometabolic health of women, infants, and children. The focus of the research performed in the lab is centered on the principles of rigorous study design and methodology to overcome the challenges of using administrative health data to inform clinical practice.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Perform literature reviews.
  • Oversee project logistics.
  • Perform quantitative analyses.
  • Prepare tables and figures for presentations and manuscripts.
  • Draft and edit manuscripts for publication.

Requirements for the position:


  • Minimum of a MSc degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a healthrelated field.
  • Experience in quantitative analyses and training in Epidemiology or Biostatistics.
  • Minimum of two years' experience with statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, or STATA).
  • Previous experience performing quantitative analyses with administrative databases or large cohorts an asset.
  • Experience in advanced statistical analyses an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Type of Employment:

Part-time or full-time employment

1-year contract (renewable based on funding)
