This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to join a professional Logistic team since it's an entry-level role

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec as Logistics Coordinator. This is a full-time role to replace a maternity leave for an 18-months period.


Working in a team environment, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound shipments by focusing on marine freight.

The Logistics Coordinator will interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a high level of satisfaction The team is ready to take you under its wing and show you the inner workings of the business.

You will be trained by professionals who are passionate about the field.

This is a great opportunity to come and learn hands-on logistics, import and export of different products such as food grade, pharmaceutical, hazardous materials and more You will learn about different transportation methods through extensive training with your colleagues.

What will be your main responsibilities as a Logistic Coordinator?:

  • Coordinate product flow by working in a fast-paced team environment to meet the needs of the client and internal stakeholders
  • Navigating OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) and communicating with partners to arrange and track ocean shipments from origin to their final destinations, including inbound purchase orders, drop shipments to customers, local customer deliveries and interbranch transfers
  • Work with partners to minimize delays and expedite shipments to meet customer needs. Communicate delays by entering followup information and communicating directly with appropriate personnel
  • Responsible for compliance with EH&S and quality procedures
  • Responsible for the cost of each transaction and investigating discrepancies to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain shipment tracking, exception reporting and updating OTM and internal stakeholders accordingly
  • Ensures that shipping and receiving records are entered into the system in accordance with quality procedures and reports any quantity/cost/quality discrepancies to the Procurement Specialists
  • Help ensure that all necessary import documentation is available to optimize customs duties, brokerage and demurrage charges
  • Responsible for working with carriers and internal stakeholders on damaged freight
What qualifications are needed to be successful in this position?:

  • College diploma or university certificate in transportation management, supply chain management, operations management or any related field
  • Good knowledge of geography and proven mathematical skills
  • Ability to solve problems, multitask and set priorities while working independently in a highperformance team culture
  • Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • People person with a willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to build relations and work collaboratively as a team
  • Comfortable with the Microsoft Suite; experience in an advanced ERP system (E1/SAP), OTM or Salesforce is an asset
  • Experience in ocean freight transport would be considered an asset
  • Passionate, motivated, caring individual.
