We are looking for motivated people that will strengthen the team and continue to grow long-term within our Company.


Duties:

Assemblers perform some or all of the following duties:

  • Read shop drawings and blueprints
  • Estimate and gather materials required for fabrication
  • Select and verify quality wood to meet specifications.
  • Operate woodworking machines
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape and form materials
  • Trim and/or mitre joints and fit parts together to form complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforce joints
  • Build and assemble custom wood products
  • Shape and cut materials to specified measurements
  • Sanding wooden surfaces, as needed
  • Measure materials
  • Report daily log in times to track job costing
  • Evaluate materials for defects, quality control

Requirements:


  • Experience in Cabinet Making, Assembly or Finish Carpentry
  • Completion of Woodworking Program, or Red Seal, is considered a strong asset, but not mandatory
  • Ability to read and interpret Shop Drawings
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of various wood materials such as melamine, particleboard, plastic laminates, veneer and/ or solid wood
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis

OPPORTUNITIES FOR OVERTIME (if desired) Our Company compensates Overtime for all hours that exceed 40 hours weekly If desired, up to 60 hours per week is available

Shift: 7:00am OR 7:30am - 4:00pm OR Overtime until 6:00pm

Optional Overtime on Saturdays (half day)
