About Us:


The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University is a public, urban medical and dental school to serve the people of Southwestern Ontario.

The School's mission is to provide medical and dental pre-and post-doctoral education programs.


At Schulich Dentistry, we prepare qualified graduates to provide dental care as well as generate knowledge through clinical research, basic science research and other scholarly activity.

We also provide oral health care to the public through our on-site clinics and our community outreach programs, specifically, Dental Outreach Community Service (DOCS) and Oral Health, Total Health.


Responsibilities:


  • The Research Assistant will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Cecilia Dong, to update the literature for a scoping review on geriatric dentistry, coding in NVivo, update data analysis, and assist with preparation of a manuscript for submission to a peerreviewed journal.

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Masters degree in a relevant area of focus.

Experience:


Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

  • Detailoriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work
  • Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students, and the public
  • Ability to collect and analyze data in an objective manner
  • Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing research
  • Familiarity with methods for research design, implementation, and analysis
  • Familiarity with experimental design and analysis
  • Computer skills with the ability to learn and use software programs such as NVivo software
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve research team goals
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document technical information
