TITLE: Aviation Maintenance Crew Lead

REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance and Maintenance Planner

LOCATION: Whitehorse, YT

STATUS: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT, Monday-Friday, Please note, schedule is subject to change, based on operational requirements.

WAGE RANGE: $ $55.00 per hour (inclusive of ACA's) + $5.00 per hour crew chief wage.

START DATE: ASAP, we are interviewing applicants as they are received and will hire accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• AME License

Job-Specific Duties:

• Manage and employ AMEs and apprentices in performance of unscheduled maintenance and aircraft snags.
• Manage personnel scheduling and training requirements with Scheduling department.
• Ensure maintenance personnel on-call are staffed.
• Manage and employ AMEs and apprentices in performance of scheduled maintenance as provided by Maintenance Planner. Action scheduled maintenance plan as provided by Maintenance planner by scheduling aircraft and AMEs as required.
• Attend weekly or bi-weekly maintenance meetings led by Maintenance Planner to understand upcoming scope of work.
• Meet with operations to schedule dates and times for maintenance as required.
• Ensure maintenance staff and ACA coverage is available to action schedule.
• Provide feedback or request assistance to DOM, Maintenance Planner as required.
• Communicate with Maintenance Planner to address significant production challenges.
• Oversee and communicate with operations on the day-to-day mechanical issues and snags for flight planning.
• Responsible for ensuring AOG and unscheduled maintenance concerns are brought to the DOM.
• Responsible for ensuring work is started on AOG items on the floor.
• Responsible for assessing the day-to-day operations and communicate with ops regarding any changes to the daily schedule.
• Support operations by responding to aircrew and aircraft snags during normal working hours.
• Gainfully employ AMEs and apprentices and keep them on task.
• Ensure there are always 2 serviceable medevac aircraft available for service.
• Provide DOM with weekly aircraft AOG status and information via e-mail.
• Participate in maintenance management on-call rotation as directed.
• Work with QA Manager to ensure program compliance.
• Participate in the AAL SQMS system and encourage other maintenance personnel to be actively engaged.
• Remove aircraft from service as required
• Evaluate and submit SDRs as required
• Enter maintenance agreements as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the PRMC.

• AMEs
• AME apprentices
