Department Overview
The Canadian Cards Payment & Loyalty Team is responsible for strategy, product development, customer lifecycle management, and financial performance of all Canadian Credit Card products.
As a key member of the Credit Cards Governance & Control (1A) team you will oversee Credit Card Product Controls and provide strategic, operational and execution management of governance functions (i.e.
- Work with various internal and external partners to provide advice and management of policy, processes and the Copy Review process for credit card products.
- Ensure Regulatory, Legal, Operational Risk and Compliance requirements are considered when reviewing policies and procedures and collateral
- Work with various internal/external Regulatory, Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk partners to obtain and provide advice on matters impacting credit cards.
- Assess changes and impact to the overall processes with specific focus on credit policies, credit and operational risk, collateral reviews, and adherence to regulatory/compliance/Legal requirements.
- Review and update existing policy and processes to ensure they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Be innovative and adaptable always looking for efficiencies and optimizations in our process
- Act as SME for the Copy Review process in Canadian Credit Cards
- Ability to represent and present often at a senior level on Product
- Complete GAP assessments and recognize when to escalate
- Liaise with various business and professional partners and vendors; keep others informed and serve as contact to resolve issues
- Work with broad guidelines; support team and a positive work environment
- Lead and manage a group of highly engaged Analysts on the Policy & Process and Copy Review Teams
Job Requirements

- Strong communication and presentation skills are required to ensure effective exchange of ideas with a variety business partners.
- Support Product Group objectives and manage within a very dynamic environment with multiple projects.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, relationship building skills, and superior judgment.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft / review reports, policies, manuals, procedures, and business correspondence, often for a senior executive audience.
- Highly organized and well developed skills in negotiating and influencing with the ability to deal with conflicting points of view and to effect creative and responsive solutions.
- Strong relationship management, with an ability to impact and influence others.
- People management experience and proven leadership with the ability to coach and mentor.
Additional Information
- University/College Education or equivalent work experience
- TD Credit Card experience an asset
