Exciting challenge as part of the Contact Billing program, which aims to roll out a new nationwide billing system at Intact.

Our Software Engineering team is looking for a passionate developer.

35-hour work week (hybrid model with 2 days/week in person), benefits and competitive salary.

What you'll do:

Improve and/or develop functionality to meet the users' needs by designing solutions, solving problems, producing estimates of the work to be done, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting.

• Develop Java applications and services in Agile mode.
• Be involved in the community of developers, participate in continuous improvement, and promote best practices.

What you need:

• Undergraduate degree or college degree in computer science or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development.
• Relevant experience developing systems through which you demonstrated your ability to analyze and synthesize information.
• Specialist in Java programming and knowledge of SQL language.
• Knowledge of Guidewire (Gosu) is an asset.
• Knowledge of these tools is an asset: Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, JMeter, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Angular, Kafka.
• Knowledge of microservices (REST) environment.
• Knowledge of Scrum methodology and DevOps practices.
• Collaboration tools used at Intact: Jira, Confluence, Teams.
