Description

This position requires close collaboration with research teams, product managers and product development teams to facilitate the continuous maintenance and improvement of research products.

Beyond general methodology oversight and the review of outcomes from existing products, the Climate Product Excellence & Oversight Lead supervises the creation and publication of methodology-related internal and external documents.


Job responsibilities:


  • Make critical decisions on Climate topics, requiring constant awareness of internal developments and external regulations and trends that may affect our products. Work closely with leaders of the Research & Methodology Team to address any research and product deficiencies.
  • Supervise the team's participation in the development of new products and enhancements to existing products, in partnership with the Product Architecture & Construction Team and other pillars within the Product Excellence & Oversight Team
  • Spearhead the development of standardized processes and statistical analysis techniques to compare outcomes of the company's Climate research and ratings. This includes the creation and implementation of measures to ensure high quality, robust and consistent rating outcomes within our products.
  • Drive the integration of bestinclass operational approaches, while collaborating with a centralized Operations team.
  • Engage with clients to explain our methodologies and understand their specific use cases.
  • Supervise and contribute to the creation of thoughtleadership papers.
  • Actively participate in conferences and serve as a prominent representative for the team.
  • Identify strategies to motivate team members and support their ongoing career development.
  • Foster a psychologically safe working environment based on mutual respect, diversity and cooperation.

Qualifications:


  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, especially related to Climate change, ESG, sustainability research and/or finance.
  • Master's degree in related discipline (Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, Finance, Statistics or related sciences) or Bachelor's degree with the equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Deep knowledge of ESG investment approaches/strong understanding of financial markets, products and research methodologies.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with ease and manage competing interests to deliver strategic projects efficiently and effectively, compromising where needed.
  • Experience working with ESG and corporate data, data teams and software development teams is an asset.
  • Experience working with clients in the financial services industry or in a strategic consulting role is an asset.
