Position Summary

As Annual Giving and Alumni Relations Officer, the incumbent will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, and responsible for developing and implementing the College's Annual Giving program and Alumni Engagement Program, supporting all facets of annual giving and alumni relations to ensure annual donors and alumni remain engaged and active participants in activities within the College and contribute to the college in all manners.

The incumbent will develop and implement strategies and tactics to advance the annual fundraising results, including prospect identification, cultivation, preparation of solicitation materials and donor engagement to identify giving interest and promote opportunities for annual philanthropic support.

The incumbent will also conceptualize and implement a variety of high impact, value-added, alumni engagement strategies and programs that support event/program goals.

This will include working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to implement project plans, alumni communications, execute logistics, and organize and manage engagement and fundraising events.

The incumbent will be a highly motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented professional committed to increasing alumni engagement and annual giving opportunities, and to the College's mission of Changing Lives Through Learning.

Minimum level of formal education required for the position
2 year diploma or equivalent

Specific course(s), certification, qualification, formal training or accreditation required for the position

Additional Requirements

An in-depth knowledge of the workings of relational databases

Knowledge of annual fundraising campaigns and appeals

Direct Marketing

Varied computer skills including - advanced Excel and the Microsoft Office suite

Communications experience in print, online and social media

Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and effectively with a wide range of contacts

Practical understanding of computer-based data and business software information systems

Willingness to work evenings/weekends, as necessary; ability to travel between campuses on a regular basis
