We are looking for a highly organized, engaging, and attentive Lead Host to join our team who will make guests feel welcome and will contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant.

The focus of this position is to collaborate with the Service Manager to provide an exceptional guest experience. The Lead

Host is key to the success of our restaurant as they are the first and last point of contact for each guest.


Overview of Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests at the entrance, escort them to their assigned tables with menus or other seating areas while their table is getting ready, and thank guests with genuine appreciation before they leave.
  • Receive and coordinate reservations using Tock to assign the corresponding tables for current and upcoming days of service and followup with guest inquiries on an ongoing basis.
  • Organize and set up the dining room, bar, and Chef's table according to the seating chart, maintaining evenly spaced seatings throughout the restaurant and adhering to the restaurant standards.
  • Coordinate with management and the special events/guest inquiries team to organize the nightly and monthly seating arrangements and assist with large party arrangements.
  • Be familiar with guest profiles in Tock. For example, be aware of any returning guests or previous visit notes, etc.
  • Communicate special occasion, allergy, and dietary restriction guest notes with the servers, management, and kitchen.
  • Monitor seating times and communicate organizational needs with servers, rearranging table assignments as necessary and ensuring all tables are cleaned and reset as soon as possible.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all guests and staff to accommodate table changes, cancellations, and any guest inquiries/concerns.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all restaurant menus.
  • Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Skills Required:


  • Previous hosting or hospitalityrelated experience
  • Experience with Tock or a similar reservation system is an asset
  • Can communicate clearly in a professional manner while displaying strong customer service skills
  • Organized, detailoriented, and engaging with strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Hospitality accreditation is an asset
  • Smart Serve certificate

Pay:
$18.00/hour plus tip-out


Schedule:
Approx. 4-5 days/week (between Wednesday and Sunday) with the flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and from home as required.


Salary:
From $18.00 per hour
