Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief People Officer, the responsibilities of a Training & Development Coordinator focus on creating and implementing training for employees, along with facilitating.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and facilitate training.
- Oversee online learning management system.
- Evaluate the outcomes and measure effectiveness of training sessions and maintain records of trainees' progress and achievements.
- Meet with Support Professionals and Managers to assess the training needs for teams and evaluate the competency levels of individual trainees to work with different knowledge and skill levels.
- Coordinate training sessions.
- Plan and coordinate special projects.
- Stay current on the latest trends in training and development.
- Other People Resources administrative duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in Business Administration or Certifications in technologyrelated and project management disciplines.
- 3 years' work experience as training facilitator.
- MS Office, PowerPoint, & Excel proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening skills.
- Works well independently and in team setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- 3 years' work experience with people with intellectual disabilities preferred.
- Proven ability to think critically and analytically to problemsolve and move projects forward.
- Good interpersonal and observational skills to assess trainees' understanding and progress and make any necessary adjustments to the program.
- Ability to create a safe environment for sharing with unbiased objectivity.
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
- Experience with UKG Pro is an asset.
- NVCI Certification/NVCI Instructor Certification is an asset.
- Energetic, Resilient, and Results focused.
- Highly selfmotivated and takes initiative.
Schedule:
- Full Time 18month term
- 40 hours per week
