Load Planner-Dispatcher _to join our team at our _
Harris Terminal.

Summary


Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, the Load Planner - Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching equipment effectively using all resources to meet the customer needs.


Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Quote and book freight as required
  • Communicate with Dispatch Manager, Operation Manager with any issues
  • Coordinate load planning, pick up and deliveries with highway and city dispatchers
  • Ensure a high level of on time customer service is maintained
  • Monitor drivers are meeting mileage and earning requirements
  • Maintain inbound and outbound freight lists daily
  • Assist with invoice data entry and invoicing
  • Verify that drivers pay are finalized and correct
  • Assist with logistics as required
  • Be a team leader
  • Accepts off duty calls when issues arise and oncall weekend rotation with dispatch team
  • Cross train and complete dispatch duties as required
  • Perform all work in a safe manner and comply with all Harris/Gardewine safe work practices,
polices and procedures

  • Other duties as required within Harris Transport

Qualifications

  • Must have three to four years related experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong communication skills and able to work in a fastpaced computerized office
environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to work as a team and provide professional
customer service

  • Ability to contribute to the development of flat deck business
  • Desire to communicate with customers on an ongoing basis to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Experience with Deck activities (preferred) and/or general freight handling
  • Knowledge with flat deck dispatch operations preferred

Physical Requirements


Some of the physical demands may include, but may not be limited to: prolonged sitting and looking at a computer etc.

Pay:
$50,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
