This job creates the Delta Service Experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, a professional attitude while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.

The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with hotel guiding principles.

Job Purpose

Responsible for the set-up, service and tear down of the Team Member dining room.

Responsible for all aspects of service by stocking service areas and maintaining adequate supplies during meal period, cleaning and presetting all tables; transportation of utensils and serving dishes to and from kitchen.


Responsibilities:


  • Opens and closes lunch and dinner meal service in accordance with job standards
  • Assist the kitchen with replenishing food for the evening service
  • Delivery and retrieval of hot and cold food and beverage items to the cafeteria
  • Maintains cleanliness of the selfserve buffet station
  • Stocks and maintains steam table, ensures all food and beverage equipment is operational
  • Orders, stocks, replenishes all food, beverage and dry goods needed for service
  • Stocks and maintains supplies in cafeteria
  • Assures that all food is maintained at appropriate temperatures
  • Assures that all food is stored in the appropriate sanitary condition
  • Assures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in a sanitary condition
  • Inspects and prepares all service ware prior to use
  • Assists in clearing soiled plates, service ware etc. from service areas and tables to stewarding area
  • Empty and maintain trashcans
  • Maintains and cleans tables in dining room
  • Restocks clean dishes, flatware and trays
  • Replenishes condiments and food items in the salad bar
  • Clean and sanitize all high touch point surfaces
  • Fill and maintain the prep list up to par, check daily
  • Assists in completion of post meal clean up and side work duties
  • Assists in employee related events held in cafeteria
  • Monthly inventory of all silverware, plates, trays, etc.
  • Assist in inspecting the delivery of food to ensure quality and quantity
  • Monitor refrigerated salad levels daily
  • Maintain the employee cafeteria in a clean and sanitary condition. To include the following; sweeping and mopping of the floors daily, wiping down counters, emptying trash, dust and wipe down tables, clean glass on buffet line, wipe down trash containers, and clean area around beverage station, sanitizing/cleaning coffee and juice dispenser
  • Checks with Sous Chef to ensure food temperature logs are maintained for cafeteria
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china and silverware prior to use. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing cleanasyougo procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Previous experience an asset
Strong organizational skills
Food Safety certification required

Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
$18.80-$19.80 per hour
